  Samplitude Opus
Author: Marc Albrecht and Thomas Wenzel   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 143
Samplitude is obviously not the first sampling program for Amiga, but it differs from the other programs by the possibility of editing different samples with different sampling resolutions. Any number of projects can be administrated simultaneously in windows of optional size. This is an easy way to exchange data between several samples. Samplitude offers another option: zooming with any depth desired is not only possible along the time axis (horizontal) but also in the amplitude range (vertical), an urgent need for higher sampling resolutions in particular. Up to three different zoom factors of one sound can be displayed simultaneously

  SIDPLAY Home Page
  Author: n/a   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1537
  - A multi-platform C64 music player and SID chip emulator - Basically, SIDPLAY [1] is just an ordinary music player software. More specifically, SIDPLAY emulates the Sound Interface Device chip (MOS 6581, commonly called SID) and the Micro Processor Unit (MOS 6510) of the Commodore 64 [2] on your computer. It is a platform independent software which emulates these hardware components. Therefore it is able to load and execute C64 machine code programs which produce music or sound. In general these are independent fragments of code and data which have been ripped from games and demonstration programs and have been transferred directly from the C64. For the Amiga, BeOS, OS/2 Warp, win. Mac, Linux and others.

  SIDPlayer
Author: Christian Bauer   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 18
SIDPlayer is a replayer program for C64 music ("SID tunes"). You can think of it as being a stripped-down C64 emulator that only emulates the CPU and the sound chip of the C64. SIDPlayer can be used as a stand-alone player or, under BeOS, as a plug-in for CL-Amp and SoundPlay. It runs under BeOS and Unix and is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).

We've been using the AD516 card manufactured by Sunrize Industries for all of our recording work here at EMRL since 1996. At that point, it was already out of date, with Sunrize having stopped production and closed up shop in 1994, shortly after Commodore went bankrupt. AD516/AD1012/Studio16 Frequently Asked Questions

SyX Amiga MIDI SysEx Dump Utility
Author: Thijs van der Vossen   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 184
SyX is a MIDI utility that can record, transmit and save MIDI System Exclusive data. It can receive multiple messages, what is usefull for synths that send more than one SysEx message in a Bulk Dump. When transmitting the SysEx data, you can set a delay between bytes and/or messages. Some synths, like the Roland MC303 require this in order to receive the messages correctly.

  The AHI/PPC project status log
Author: Martin Blom   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 1969
The AHI/PPC project status log. 2002-11-07 - Yes, ideed, today is November 7th, not July 11th. Anyway, I've been asked to clarify one thing regarding the PPC version of AHI. There will be no WarpUp version, nor will there be any PowerUp version. The reason is that neither of these two systems allow PPC code to be invoked from within an interrupt¹, which is an absolute requirement for AHI. The current PPC version is for MorphOS only. In the future, I hope to have an AmigaOS 4 version as well.

This time we have yet another newcomer .. Ogg Vorbis, the audio codec that will conquer the world ("What are we going to do tonight Brain? The same thing we do every night Pinky ..   UADE - Unix Amiga Delitracker Emulator
Author: Heikki Orsila   Verified: Nov 30, -0001   id: 2090
About UADE: UADE plays old Amiga tunes through UAE emulation and cloned m68k-assembler Eagleplayer API. UADE is Open Source compatible with Free Software definition. UADE is licensed with GNU GPL. This software would not have been possible for us to produce without the great Free Software model which allowed us to make use of years of hard work of the UAE team. Most of the thanks goes to their pioneering work to build the necessary infrastructure, especially Bernd Schmidt, the initiator of UAE project.
