{{ARCHIVED}} This is the Studio 16 mailing list's Frequently Asked Questions and their answers. The purpose of the FAQ is to be a resource on answers and information. Its secondary purpose is also to prevent questions from being asked over and over again. The FAQ is very small at this time, but hopefully this will change in the future. |

AHX is a protracker-like music editor that was designed especially to create C64-like synthetic tunes. There is no support for sampled instruments as chip tunes are made to be as small in size as possible. So an average AHX tune has a length of about 200 bytes - 5 kbytes (unpacked). All waveforms of the C64 are supported: Triangle, Sawtooth, Square and White Noise. Also Hi-/Lo-Pass filtering effects are supported (ring-modulation is hopefully to come in AHXv3). |

LCD-Ausgabe is an expansion for MelodyNG and even plain Amigas. The goal of this hardware is the display and control of AMPlifier without using a screen. Time played, name, ID-3 Tags etc. is additionally visable at a 4x40 Dot-Char Display (picvue). Another possibility besides connecting it to Melody's controll bus is the use of Amiga's build-in Parallelport (as shown above) |

Aseq general description. Aseq is a new midi and audio sequencer using an intuitive and easy to use interface. Better known as "x0x", refering to the famous 606, 808 and 909 drummachines, which use this method of sequencing. This program is mainly being developed on the Amiga line of computers, but ports to other platforms have been planned. Platforms of choice are QNX, Linux and perhaps (dr)dos. A port to Mac OSX will be very likely if I find the fundings to buy an OSX capable Mac. A port to Morphos depends on the availability of said OS and the affordability of a Morphos capable motherboard. |

Audio Evolution is an audio harddisk recording system primarily aimed at musicians who want an easy-to-use multitrack recorder for home-studio applications. It's based on the AHI system by Martin Blom, which makes it possible to run Audio Evolution on every modern soundcard designed for Amiga computers. Because of the efficient mixing routines of AHI, it's possible to play up to 30 tracks at the same time on expanded systems, even without PowerPC technology. But that's not what makes it a good harddisk recording system: Audio Evolution also offers a versatile mixing desk including individual channel and master level display, mute, solo, panning, subgroups and PPC realtime effects. Besides that, full mixer automation gives you mixing possibilities only limited by your imagination. For a quick overview of the most important features click here! Try out the demo of Audio Evolution now and join the Amiga evolution! |
