This is a kit which will allow you to convert a (preferably non-functional) Commodore Amiga 500 or Commodore Amiga 500+ into a USB keyboard which can be used just like any other USB keyboard. It also includes two joystick ports which allow you to use standard 9 pin Commodore / Atari style joysticks as USB joysticks (for joysticks only, they do not support the Amiga mouse), and two audio jacks to connect to provide rear audio output from a Raspberry Pi or other single board computer. |

Its board of directors is elected each year by its active membership during our annual General Assembly. The CAQ's purpose is to promote the Amiga micro-computer through learning, usage, and the development of applications. The Club's monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. These meetings are always posted beforehand on the Club's web site. On the 27th to the 28th of July, 2002, the Amiga show AmiWest 2002 took place in Sacramento, California, USA. On Saturday July 27th, Bill McEwen, CEO of Amiga Inc., the company currently in possession of the Amiga trademarks, made an appearance at the show. He made two speeches and participated in an interview, which like the rest of the show were broadcast over the net by the Amiga User Group Network. People recorded these audio transmissions, and here you'll find written transcipts from those huge MPEG-audio files (follow that link and you'll also find a summary of the telephone interview with Ben Hermans - thanks to Andreas Loong and the people with mirrors for providing this stuff). |

{{ARCHIVED}} << Archived Link >> The Siouxland Metro Amiga User's Group (SMAUG) was created by three Siouxland residents to promote the Amiga series of personal computers in the Sioux City area. With an overwhelming number of IBM PCs and clones in the marketplace, the poorly promoted Amiga, although vastly superior, has been overshadowed to the point that almost no one has even heard of it! Realizing the superiority of the Amiga, Darreck Lisle, Aaron Wendel, and Bob Akerberg decided to start SMAUG in an effort to support any existing Amiga users in the area, and to get information about the Amiga out to the general public. Our newest member is Shawn Huff who joined SMAUG in May 2002. |

Though the numbers of Amiga computers in Israel is pretty small (due to bad marketing on the account of Commodore Computer and its importers and marketers in Israel) we believe that with the introduction of the Amiga OS 4.0 and 5.0, and with our help in spreading the news and persuasion, the Amiga could really become a hit in Israel like it was in Europe.
