microsoft press pass - PDA partners talk
  Author: microsoft   Verified: 0000-00-00
Q&A: Microsoft Partners Put Holiday Shine on Products for Pocket PCs. REDMOND, Wash., Dec. 18, 2002 -- Holiday shoppers are finding some of the lowest prices ever for Windows Powered Pocket PCs this holiday season. The recent introduction of Pocket PCs from Dell and HP, some with a suggested retail price of less than US$200 (with rebate) opens the door for a broad range of customers to Windows Powered devices. Independent software and hardware makers have recognized this expanded opportunity and are creating myriad products that enable consumers to add specialized software and hardware to their devices.

  OS 4.0 Screenshots
  Author: Hyperion   Verified: 0000-00-00
Greetings to all Amigans Everywhere. We have been bursting to get these screenshots of the new AmigaOS4.0 out to you ever since we received them over two weeks ago. However, given a heavy schedule of some press releases for Amiga Anywhere, we didn't want this other great news to be swamped. In talks with our partners and many members of the community, we have decided therefore to release them now on the website of our partner, Hyperion Entertainment, and will follow up with a release on the amiga.com website in a week or so. Enjoy. Bill McEwen and the rest of the Amiga team.

  Project Petunia
  Author: Almos Rajnai   Verified: 0000-00-00
Experimental Dynamic Recompilation-based Motorola 680x0 Processor Emulation For PowerPC Processors - Project Petunia is an experimental Motorola 680x0 processor emulation for PowerPC based Amigas with dynamic recompilation. Dynamic recompilation (or also called just-in-time compilation or simply JIT compilation) is a technique of translation of the emulated processor machine code to an executer processor machine code on-the-fly. That is why I started this project, and it seems fulfill my expectations. Petunia will be officially the part of AmigaOS4.

  Your Guide to AmigaOne
Author: AmigFlame   Archived: 2003-06-27   Verified: 2022-02-02
{{ARCHIVED}} Your Guide to AmigaOne. The final preparations are being worked out which will see the next generation Amiga known as AmigaOne make its official debut. Bill McEwen outlined in his latest Executive Update that there is a need to now properly plan, budget, and order for the production of the AmigaOne. To determine how many Amiga users want to get their hands on the new Amiga they want users to purchase a $50.00 coupon from the Amiga Anywhere Shop. This coupon will entitle you to $50 off the price of AmigaOne/ AmigaOS 4.0. However, before Amiga users bust open their piggy banks I thought it would be appropriate to provide a guide to AmigaOne, so you'll better understand the gains of becoming an AmigaOne user.
